Karlo Reyes: Sea Spirits: For those lost at sea
Karlo,
Once again thanks for vision of foamy surf washing over stubborn rocks from an impressive sea.
Tell me what ND filter this is. You use 8 stops and also a graduated ND filter of how many stops or is it a ND filter of 8 stops and it's graduated. what make did you choose. Next let me ask about the choice of format. Why vertical and not horizontal for a scene like this. I'd even wonder about a stitched panorama.
Lastly the aperture is a possible issue if you are going to print very large as the diffraction at f22 with the small sensels of the 5D2 is likely to degrade the fine structure of the stationary rocks. The more detail shown there, the more the surf might appear soft and active.
This is not knocking your picture, just a wish to examine your decisions.
Thanks for sharing,
