It was not there last evening. I found it this morning.

It must have fallen from its nest.

This was just a baby bird.

p.s I have been thinking about this image. Would it be better in color? Velvia 50?

How about a vertical orientation? Horizontal Ok?

Maybe a different Focal length? Shutter Speed? Aperture?

I can't decide about these things. Too many technical details for me.

It's good to look at the ground as well as the sky! The bird was likely dead for some time before the mother shoved it out of the nest. It appears very dried out.

I wonder how you set this up? Is it on a fabric? Did you add grain?

Asher, on the outdoor tiles; where I found it. BW in SilverEfex Pro by Nik set for ' high structure'.

D700 + ZF 50/2 Makro Planar. jpeg large.
