Thanks, Asher. Yea, more WB to make the bird whiter and little more brightness with contrast enables the great egret to show better against the colorful background. This really shows more how the marsh looked that night like it was on fire. I also like the crop I did better now as far as composition.

Asher, how do you like the 4th one ? I like it and really pushed it to the right when I took it.

I like the 2nd one Don.....the surroundings have an almost abstract canvas look with only the Egret bringing it back to something natural. I'd like to see it with the green shades lost completely.

The first one is wonderful - really captures the golden light, and the Egret still stands out enough to anchor the image.

The 4th doesn't work as well to my eye - the water is very bright/white, and the Egret, being more shadowed, is somewhat lost in the image. Using some selective use of levels, along with shadows/highlights might enable you to tone down the brightness of the water somewhat, and bring out the egret a bit more.

Thanks, Bob for commenting. That would look cool I bet but I really like that natural green background color now that I have the WB right ;)

Thanks, Don . I kinda like that high key in the water but doubt it will get a serious print and I was real happy with the first one and how the colors turned out on my Epson 1400 printed 13 x 19 with that long view .
