Hello All. Just discovered this forum; it certainly seems to be one of the more civilized photography forums around. No gearhead "fanpersons" here! I'm looking forward to learning a lot from the obviously very talented people who frequent these pages.

Hi Mike,

We're delighted to have another fellow from the magnificent Emerald Isle! What a place of stone castles, echoes of magnificent power and tragic cruelty, beautiful hard working people with poetry in their blood.

Where on the map are you?

Please jump in and show us your world and the magic of Ireland, one of the power houses of modern Europe!

Share your work and please, please, visit other photographer's work and give your emotional and photographer's reactions!

Thanks for the welcomes! Asher, I'm in Dublin. Looking forward to showing a few images; I'll just have to overcome my fear of appearing in the same forum as the talent which is obvious around here :)
Some images are on my website (see my sig for link).

Rachel: no leprechauns left here. They were all eaten by the Celtic Tiger, which seems to have eaten itself to death recently......

Michael,

Don't worry about so called standards. One guy I praised two years ago and people said, why the fuss, anyone can do that? Well not always true. This fellow went on to win prize after prize! Just post and give yourself a big hand. This is the place for pathways to excellence! We all have to start somewhere. You'll get encouragement, trivial comments, even just, "Wow!" or the like. However, you will receive some excellent realistic feedback based on insight and careful thought. What we have to do is learn to take all sorts of feedback by keeping steadfast to our own artistic goal.

If you want, you can start a thread for yourself in "Riskit!" forum where your own project is pretty well protected but will receive comments!
