Very impressive!

What a rare, unusual and striking view of the glass revealing for the first time it’s brutally strong ironwork.

The super straightforward bolted-together flange design allows formidable long term endurance and repairability!

this this its replacement light assy. the original was the one here an oil based clockwork assembly (electric lamp for display only). i was told that the one above is no longer manufactured and these are pretty
museum pieces. so they will move on to something even more advanced. most likely LED based.

much what is used across country today.

the one in the image above is in a museum building next door to the lighthouse. back in the old days before electric power was available it was a pressurized whale oil lamp* and hand rewound by the lighthouse keepers. they were the key to its operation. a very important job to say the least.
