My name is Eric Michelson. I'm a long time commercial and editorial photographer. The past six years I was at Phase One, the last 3 years there I was the support manager. So I have lots of experience with photography in general, both film and digital, RAW workflow, color managemen, and solving problems.

Could you post some info (no secrets of course) about how will C1 #4 evolve?
I've been a long time user of C1 but I must admit that I do prefer Lightroom even as a beta, it is, in my opinion, much more powerfull…
Of course if you can enlight us, it would be nice to do so in the workflow forum…

Lot of new raw developpers (or new versions) are coming up nowadays (Sylkipix, Lightroom, DxO4 etc)

So we all need to know what's coming next in order to make our choice(s).

Hi Nicolas and Asher,

Thanks for your warm welcome! It's nice to be here.

Version 4 of Capture One....hmmmm. I have very few details, and Phase One is being careful with release details. Remember, I'm a former employee. Is that not clear? I better go have a look.....

But what I do know is that there will be a unified interface, mac and windows will have feature parity... a longtime complaint.

I think there will be a print module, I think it will have stronger support for XMP in RAW files, I think it will have an open API for developers to develop plug-ins. We will see.

I'm not a pushy salesman. I speak my mind, try to sell my training and consulting as best I can but there is no worse a turnoff than self promotion on a forum like this. I'd rather help somebody first and if a referral comes my way, fantastic! Much nicer that way!

Talk to you guys later. I will go look at the workflow forum in a bit.

We have now embedded experts at the very highest level from Adobe Raw, Lightroom, Aperture, RAW Shooter (R.I.P) and C1 and now C1 again!

We're even chugging along on Lightzone and SilkyPix so we are well covered!

All we need are questions! So everyone off to the workflow forum!
