I am a real amateur. I started with an Yashica rangefinder in 1958. Followed by an Asahi Pentax Reflex and a Lunasix in 1962. Between 1960 and 1966 I had a darkroom (B&W). After that I took off into the world and used the Pentax for holidays and special occasions.
I used the Pentax untill the Digital Darkroom grew up. i bought the Olympus E!. It is a lovely camera. But it is to big and I miss my manual interventions. Of course you can do them with the E1. But I cannot get used to the DSLR's and their shooting. Then Leica announced the M8. So that will be my future.
Because of the big gap between 1966 and 2000 I did not develop a specific area of interest (people, nature, etc.).
The only area i still love is B&W. Not just images but also movies.
