Hello from Ontario, Canada

Salutations to all. New here so I thought introductions to be a good place to start. I live in Ontario, Canada & have lived on the West & East Coast of Canada. The East Coast, namely Newfoundland being my favorite. I am a published writer on a sabbatical you might say because I've found a new creative outlet - photography. My true passion for photography lies within nature/landscape. I've only been using slr cameras now for 4-5 yrs. Although I dabbled over the years with a 35mm it is only now that I've decided to take it seriously. So I'm a beginner, a newbie with a great deal to learn. I am moving in the direction of wedding photography. I have done three weddings so far (no pay). The clients are always aware of my experience; I learned a lot at these weddings & had a great deal of fun. I also now have a new insight into what true exhaustion is. lol Hoping to one day see a little return for my work. My favorite editing software is Photoshop & Canon slr's are my camera of choice. Glad to be here.

Welcome to OPF, Kathleen!

Newfoundland has some beautiful landscape. I imagine the coast line should be every dramatic right now. do the still have dog sleds in the winter? I have a romantic idea of Newfoundland as a place at the frontier, but I guess there mist be little left near the cities. Still, with your writing skill and camera, I see a book in the offing!

Good luck on wedding photography. Try to get an assistant to at least cover the reception and help carry some of the gear. Weddings are exhausting.

Asher
