Hello

Ydo Sol

pro member
Hi, my name is Ydo Sol. I was born in the Netherlands but live in Germany now.
I started photography during my design study.
After I finished my study in 1984 I became a freelance photographer.
I work for lifestyle magazines and travel a lot.
My cameras are some old Hasselblads and I still use them a lot, but of course I´m playing
around with some digital cameras like the 1ds3.
But my absolute favorite is the Polaroid 600 with 665 film.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to read everyone else's postings!
Greetings

Ydo

I rapidly checked your website and there are great images there!

We have some other very good German and Dutch photographers in OPF, so you won't feel to much "troubled" by our US friends!

We would be very glad if you participate more than reading… if you want to post there are many different fora so yu can't post in the wrong one!

If you whish to post in the "pro" forum, you need to PM me so I can get into your profile and enable you as a pro (because you are…)

Hi Ydo,

Welcome, and I loved watching your Jazz images.

Here's one snapshot I made from Dr. Lonni Smith, as he was giving his Hammond a workout during a live performance:

I couldn't get a better angle, unless I would have dared to block the view for the audience ...

Shooting details; shot on 35mm CN film with a 100mm lens and with flash bounced from the tent roof.

Groeten uit Nederland,
Bart
