I regestered today and got the confirmation via email. But when I tried to make a post and include a picture, there was no button to "manage attachments".

Is there a waiting period or a minimum number of posts required before a pic can be uploaded?

Welcome to OPF!

you need to have your image on a server and put the url of that image between and [IMG]

Let us know if you have any problem with this or you don't currently use a service like Flickr.
