Herbert Lake Reflections!

The changing fall colors of the grasses and an astounding reflection made this shot a keeper. Herbert Lake is North of Lake Louise, Alberta on the Icefields Parkway.

Hi Roy,

I like the blues of the sky and water. The strength of the composition is in its duality, a replication of heaven and land in water. It's as if they are narcissistic. So that's all the picture is about. There's pristine wonder of nature. There's no other special meaning metaphor or motive than to please our senses.

I'd remove the lower inch as the foreground, (just below the "cleavage"). This area adds nothing and the untidy grasses detracts from the majesty further away. Cropped this, the picture is more of a splendid view.
