These images have a very unique quality - something like a paintings yet still fundamentally photographic.
As for your weather, I'm extremely jealous. Today it is too cold for november, -6C and -13C with windchill and expecting -9C and -15C with windchill. We also already have 6-7 inches of snow. I wish I could teleport to where you are!

Thanks Maggie! Indeed, that's what I like about that old, uncoated lens so much!
We have around +12C but the sun makes it appear much warmer; the butterflies are proof of that. Very unusual for us here, November is wet and cold normally.

Used some parts and a focusing helicoid I had laying around, which just happens to make it fit. The lens was basically clamped inside using set screws.
