hello all. I'm new to the forum. I'm a mid missouri fellow and I'm a freelance retoucher. the business is slow for me. I've been considering pet photography. I researched it a little finding a mostly untouched market. I'd really like to do the retouching full time, but it seems everyone is doing themselves these days. I do mostly portrait and wedding retouching. I'd like to get into high end or even commercial. Some have been telling me takes 2 to 5 years to get established. I used to work for Miller's and liked my job a lot.

wish you all success in your business.

Hi Josh,

Yes a lot of people do their own retouching but even more cannot! There are hoards of pros who need reliable regular services. You have to get out there an market. We are growing out film base so there may be a few guys from here eventually.

In any case, welcome to OPF! Jump in and share your thoughts and images! Good luck on the retouching business!

I'm crazy-busy right now... and I don't have time to do the photoshop work that I need to do... So... Josh's post hit at a perfect time... I sent him one of my shots that needed some work and he did a beautiful job!

Thanks Josh!

Ron
