That's how one gets to meet the locals.

I don't see the certification from the local health inspectors, LOL! Are you able to eat freely from these venders without need for reserves of stamina and fluids!?!

Very rarely Asher. Living in sterile environments is a significant loss to one's natural immune system. I generally carry paper plates and cups with me. Only eat very well cooked hot food, when I do. Water is always mine. I go to meet people, primarily. The food is just an excuse to pay the bill.

Medicine comprises a significant part of my travel weight. Along with its documentation and prescription.

Regards.

p.s last trip to a place, Ayesha ate seafood on the last day of our stay. The journey back home is better forgotten. She was in hospital for 3 days!!

Fahim,

Great that Ayesha is made of steel! Reminds me of a great friend who's eat meats cooked at the side of the road in Kano in Northern Nigeria. He'd probably had all the maladies in the past but other tourists did not make it out then next day! I myself limit myself to fresh vegetables that I wash in bottled water. I discovered that in some hotels in Turkey, BTW, the "bottled" water was filled from their own filter system, fresh each day. That was reassuring!

Baked bread, however is usually safe as long as few people handle it between the hot oven and one's own hands!

Fahim - I find the content of your images fascinating. I have a question for you though. I am struggling with the appearance of the images as they are posted - and am wondering if you are using scanned film or if this is result of a specific post-processing that you prefer? Just curious that is all.
