After a long gap i took my camera in and around my home.. for a good thing to be captured in... I couldn't find anything interesting...So i decided myself to gather some objects together to make some interesting compositons and mood.. And these are the results...

To be truthfull i was so bored this morning.. Went for a walk outside and i was so blank of what to do today... then i took my camera! Started clicking around my home.. I didnt get anything creative and interesting snaps.. So i decided to make a set up of some objects in my home to make some interesting compositions. I pulled my table out.. Had a cloth over it.. I was just thinking about the old things... anything which is rusty or torn etc.,.. Searching around i got a old book... And a tea jar.. with a tea cup.. Made some smoke with a smoke emitting material i dropped it inside tha tea jar... I dragged my car keychain and just dropped it over the book... I added two more books for balancing the frame... And a news paper to make the atmosphere look like the table is used oftenly... And these are the results

Nice photographs! I really enjoy the 1st, the 'entire scene', with the 4x10ish feel :)

and then out of the detail shots, I think I like the 3rd best, though I'm not sure I like the blue tint.

Meditative Stills...

seems to be a good title here. Something Zen-like in the composition and the subtle work of colors and shadow unveil a dignity and quietude that is part of the reason for my title suggestion. For some reason I also sense a precursor to great violence in this calm before the storm. Enjoyed.

Very well done. Excellant use of seeing light/shadows and using them to your advantage. The tea pot is bothersome to me ... appears to be a bit out of place. I wonder why the pot and cup are so close?, where is the lid to the pot?, why isn't there any steam/tea in the cup? All these question distract from the overall feel of the image ... steam curling up from the cup alone or the pot further in the background would have seem more realistic to my eye ... but all that is but a nit ... all-in-all this was not a wasted morning ... once again ... good job.

i have a couple of thoughts running through my head right now but i really don't want to offer a them yet until i can ask a question about the last image.... what is the language printed in the book? .... i spent quite a bit of time in europe and this photo has a european feel to it. if i could know the language i could offer an idea for a theme.

hello oli,
so, i really like the use of the round subjects with the contrasting straight lines of the books, like they are at war with eachother. the open book shows a little bit of 'wear and tear' as if it has been passed down maybe and the chain on top of the book makes me lean towards a difference of time such as past and present. the placement of the objects gives me another feeling of, order and chaos. so, now that i know what the language of the book is, i myself would go with a theme of something like, 'MURUGAN MOMENT'.

Thanks for your TITLE James sperry.... Whats your idea about INDIA.. ??

my idea of india? ....... honestly, the country i know very little about. but i have done some work with the india army, and every person that i met was very hospitable. there is a noticeable difference with the way the people of india and westerners handle matters in life. i have to say that i like the way the poeple of india handle matters in life. they don't ignore or get angry at these matters, but they just have different thougts or opinions on them. almost a passive approach on life (if i may). i would love to see the country some day.

unfortunatley, that is all i have for an idea about india. i wish i knew more.

by the way!!! .... my statement of the picture, in no way, reflects what opinions that i have of india. it is just a simple explanation of how i percieve the actual image :) .
