I'm back!

Hello everyone,

So, I know I wasn't here for very long and most of you are probably saying to yourselves, "Why is she announcing she's back? I don't even know who she is." Regardless, I'd like to let those who I have had the pleasure of speaking to when I first joined the forum, Asher in particular since he has helped me out a lot on here, that I haven't disappeared in a puff of glittery smoke.

I've been absent the past little while for a number of reasons. First, my end of semester exams were coming up so I was consumed with studying and final projects. Once those were over, I was working nearly nonstop because I work in retail and, as I'm sure you all realise, December is an exceptionally busy time of year. On top of that, it was the holidays and I had all sorts of family around. There was just no time to be on here. Now I'm not working as much because second semester has started so I should be able to get back to visiting this forum more regularly like I was at one point.

Also, I've neglected something rather important... Happy New Year! I hope the first two weeks of 2011 have treated all of you well.

As for an update, a lot of things have sort of come about the last few weeks since I was last on. For one, I have made a decision as far as whether I should apply to school for photography. I grealty appreciate the feedback everyone gave me regarding this in a thread I posted before I disappeared. I took it all in and carefully considered it when making my decision. I've decided that, regardless of how I feel, I'm going to apply anyway and hope for the best. If it doesn't work out then I will be disappointed, but I have also applied to other things as a bit of a back up just in case. I mean, who knows what could happen, right? I might not feel good enough or ready, but maybe an admissions person will see potential and give me a chance. Now I just need to work on getting an admissions portfolio together and writing my essay.

Furthermore, I have a couple new pictures that I'll post sometime soon. I did have more, but, due to some rather unfortunate technical issues, I lost a lot of my new photos. Such a shame.

Anyways, thats about it thats new. Hope to get back to chatting with you all soon. And again, I apologise for my unexplained absense.

Hi Tasha,
I'm happy to see you back, and no apologies necessary.
Asher once said (and I'm heavily paraphrasing) "We're like a tour bus. Some folks stay on for the entire ride, some folks for just a brief period, while others hop on and hop off...".
I'm glad you've made a decision. While not judging pro or con, I'm encouraged to hear the commitment to a specific path.
You have the potential of a very large support group here at OPF. We're happy to help and guide.
All you need to do is ask.
