In a PRINTY sort of mood today

In a PRINTY sort of mood today - my favourite size A3+ (13”x19”) —— just for myself (or visitors) to thumb through while sitting in the couch. I can’t display them all, so it’s old school style stacks of prints with creases, curls and finger prints LOL

There is nothing like a REAL PRINT in this digital age.

Superbly inviting colors.

To think of all thr labor and expense if this was wet chemistry!

Asher

For 20 years I processed and printed all of my images with wet chemistry. The labour and expense were a big part of my experience as a photographer —- but that printing was for my paid client work, routinely printing up to 24x30 and 30x40 prints under huge enlargers and processing machines. I loved it.. The main difference in my career is that by the time I started traveling full time and capturing this style of imagery in 2008, I had moved on from the wet darkroom so never experienced that.

….for me, the bonding with my father in law, was the key benefit as we spent hogs together Relining his best images and I learned such a lot.

But in addition it was the therapeutic absolute isolation from the pressures and demands of the outside world that was the most unique, valuable and memorable!
