This shot is the result of about 6hrs of getting to know the folks. Drinking tea and sharing experiences
with them.

The femininity as a contrast to the mud, dust and rough/hard work was worth the time for me.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Fahim,
What a splendid capture!
Please tell us more about this image!
Your patience in getting to know the subjects has allowed us a glimpse into their lives.
Who are they and where is this place?

John, Ruben..thank you so much for your kind words. Your appreciation definitely makes it worth it!

These photos were taken in Nepal last year. My wife had gone doing her own thing in Nepal and I was
visiting the various regions. This particular photo was outside a small village in the Kathmundu valley,
where I shacked up for about 5 beautiful days and nights.

From where I was staying on a mountaintop, I would walk down and find these folks tilling/ploughing
their fields. My notes of this day mention 0930 hrs. must have been the time i walked down.

During my stay in Nepal, I mostly wore the sarong and a vest. Very comfortable albeit I would down a pullover in the hills. I was with an english speaking guide and asked him to introduce me to these people.
I did not have the camera out initially, it was in the car. One thing led to another. The men gathered around, we had lunch together...rice bread, chillies and onions. I skipped the raw chillies!

Towards the right of this place I found this:

Further down the road, about 20 kms was a small lake and I found this:

It was a very productive day for me. I did make sure that prints were sent to the village elder by my
guide from Kathmundu.

Interestingly my notes page ends with a scribble..' you have it too good!' how true.

Regards.
