Just a Small Set. These images were taken a month ago. Twilight time, let me know what you think. Thanks guys!:)

Marcelo Fernan Bridge is an extradosed cable-stayed bridge located in Metro Cebu, Cebu in the Philippines. It spans across Mactan Channel connecting Cebu Island to Mactan Island.
Marcelo Fernan Bridge was opened in August 1999 to decongest the traffic from the older Mactan-Mandaue Bridge. The bridge has a total length of 1237 meters (4058.40 feet) with a center span of 185 meters (606.96 feet). The bridge is one of the widest and longest bridge span in the Philippines. The bridge was constructed with the help of the Japanese Government. It was named after Senator Marcelo Fernan, a political figure from Cebu City.

Hi Karlo,

You know I like your work and so I feel I might have alittle leeway when I don't annoint this as one of your better pictures. Why not? Well, from your pictures there is some vivid subject that commands attention. Here, for all that it's a bridge, it's seen foreshortened and there's little of the bridge's span. For all that this is a famous cable bridger, the cables are not celebrated. So it's the water then? No that has no detail that calls us. So it's a bad picture? Not at all, however it does not have anything special for your collection. Now I may have a narrow point of view, but there it is.

Now I hope I haven't lost a friend and that you forgive me. I don't want to let this one go and that way when I like something you know it comes from the heart!

hi asher no worries, thanks for the comments again. In my eyes i think Ive composed this image well, i can crop the right part but that would ruin the rule of thirds. The bright billboard at the end of the bridge is like a cherry on top of a cake haha.

I just want to highlight here the long exposure that I've done and the dof even at f4. At 100sec, not a single bulb or any light fixture was overexposed. Noise is well controlled and detail under the bridge is still visible.

much respect,
karlo

Karlo,

That 2/3 rule and all other rules can be broken if it makes the picture work for you. It's your art and you have to be the judge. Still, I think this is a down-payment on what you could do as you obviously have aced the technical factors. If this magnificent bridge is near you, could you perhaps continue with this.

Thanks for your good spirit!
