Japanese Garden, Seattle

I spent most of last October visiting my family in Seattle. I started off taking hundreds of shots, and then being disappointed when they were all rubbish. I quickly decided to spend my holiday with my eyes open and not glued to a viewfinder, and take only a few snaps to aid my memories of a wonderful trip.

Here are a few from the Japanese garden, posted to share and not because of any particular merit.

It's got to be good inside here, there's a padlock on the door.

Hi Stuart,

I was hoping to see some pictures from your extended trip to Seattle and I am quite delighted that you've decided to share some eventually. You say that they do not have any particular merits. Even if that was true (which I disagree with), I still enjoy looking at them through your eyes. It seems that you've had a great time with your son and grandson. Those koi carps are really huge, did you hand-feed them? They tend to suck the food right out of your hand with their velvet like lips; although to some it may come overs as a terrifying experience.

Cheers,

The second is priceless Stuart. Not just your grandson, but he's expressing a universal feeling that we are more inclined to hide as we get older.

Thanks Mike. I like that one as well.
Closed doors and locks are awfully fascinating to him. I guess that applies to all small children.

Stuart, I too find the second capture priceless. The gardens are serene, beautiful.

The child, though, is a very many notches up. Because that is what we are not when we grow ( ? )
up. The innocence, lack of fear, curiosity, no inhibitions. Childhood...magic.

Wiltshire, though, is as beautiful as one can get. Except Warks, of course.

Regards.
