This is the only picture i could shot in La Défense Jazz Festival, before staff people came to ask me to leave because i was not "official" photographer...

Hi Cedric,

Concerts are challenging to do well. Challenges are the 3 meter distances between key musicians, so it's awfully hard to compose. One gets small figures on a massive stage. Next the site itself has complexes structure which can be so distracting.

For the actual performance, the spotlights guide us to what is important and a lot of thought goes into this.

One solution videographers have is to overlay images from two or more cameras.

Here I'd suggest modest cropping from the left and above mostly and then vignetting and adding a omni spotlight to the singer and base. I'd consider the option of losing the other musicians.
