Late Afternoon in the Valley

This was taken almost one year ago.

It was the light and the colors which attracted me.

Michael,

What a special picture celebrating small villages nestled in farmlands beneath forrest clad hills! An idyllic life. Did you happen to take any overlapping images to the right? This would make a stunning panorama.

Could you share how you have considered this picture when you took it and then now on rediscovering it. I'l love to know what you think after reading Ben's thread on his Iceland trip he revisited where he revitalized forgotten images with the latest SNS-HDR software.

Asher,

thanks - when looking at the photo, I always had the impression that there could be more. This is an important aspect. I do net remember having overlapping images, but I have to look.

I took the picture for the light and I like(d) the shape of the hills accentuated by the light in particular.
I thought of it again in this case because last weekend I walked through a part of the landscape shown this photo.
I saw Ben's thread before posting and my approach is only to delete obviously bad photos and to keep the rest. Storage space is not that expensive anymore. I perfectly agree with Ben here.

I will have to go back to my old negatives as well, there are some worth scanning (at least for me).

Here are two pictures of the walk that spawned the idea to post this photo.

The hill in the middle, different time of day and I think you can guess my position when taking this photo.

This view is to the left of the part seen on the photo posted first in this thread.

Best regards,
Michael
