My World: Lost and Late from Paris to Rome

New member
About a month ago, I had the distinct pleasure as a graduating senior in highschool to take part in a trip with ten of my fellow students to Paris, Milano, Firenze, Sienna, and Roma. The experiance was absolutely life changing for a young photographer, especially for one like myself, who was determined to not take a single "touristy" shot the whole time. Every shot on this trip was taken on a Nikon D7000 with a 35mm 1.8G lens on it, with no editing besides black and white conversion and color balancing. Hopefully, the work speaks for itself, here are a few images from my travels, enjoy.

The rest of the set, which includes honestly some of my favorite pictures I have ever taken, can be found on my website- Outlierimagery.com as well as here on my flickr.

Cheers!

Hi Daniel.

It was pleasure to view your Flickr images.

In one word..Lovely. In two words..Well Done!!

I am the last person to claim any proficiency in critique of anything, let alone photography.

What appeals to me the most amongst what I viewed of your works is the simplicity, the routine, the everyday thing. This is a gift. The ability to take the ordinary and make it reflect the life on the street.

As an example, your first image here..red eye..is simple and at the same time demands attention.

Dignity..another one of you images is brilliant for its simplicity and its composition. B&W is a masterful choice on your part.

Perspective...Well seen, well composed and well presented. One of the best there.

If anything, I would go a little easy on cropping too much of the top of the images..especially of people.

Sunspots is another one I found very interesting.

That you traveled and avoided the cliche shots is credit to your confidence to strike your own path; the results I have seen are a credit to your skills.

I hope you continue to develop and share your excellent work with us.

Best regards.

p.s center your images to give them the prominence they deserve!
