Well folks, back home after a short trip yo malaysia.
Sometimes a country is beautiful, and the people are awful. other times, the people are splendid and
the country is awful ( from my point of view as an experience of a visit! ).
Malaysia is a splendid country with splendid people..bar none.
The weather is loved by some, of no consequence to others or not agreeable to some..me for one.
Otherwise a marvellous few days were spent in this country of friendly people with diverse cultures, splendid scenaries, incomparable beaches.
Malaysia is a federation of 13 states and 3 federal territories:
I was struck by the number of tourists that had come to relive the glory days of the British Raj. The buildings bear the british imprint, but the neon signs reflect the Pepsi, Toyata, Mercedes and the Middle-East influences that have all but relegated the British past to distant memories; objects to be
preserved for museums:
or for those that would like to relive the memory of Queen Victoria's times if only for a brief moment
at exorbitant cost what sometime in the past was considered the right of the ruling British..the pulling of the riskshaw by the 'native, for the maim sahib and her Lord.
Regards.
