Meadow Mine Rail

This has always been a favorite of mine.
An old mine rail in North Park (near Walden) Colorado.
It was originally film from an Kodak instamatic camera.
I scanned it and sent it through a plug in.

Hi Dan,

Welcome to OPF. This is a very nice picture indeed. I myself have fond memories of my very first camera at the age of 9, which was a Kodak Instamatic :). Unfortunately, none of my pictures from that era has survived the transition of moving between various houses and countries.

It might help us appreciate the image a bit better if you'd care showing it at 800 pixels wide. What kind of plug in did you use?

Cheers,

larger

This is a larger version at 1280 pixels wide....

I used a Virtual Painter 5 plug-in to produce the oil painting effect.
I love this particular set of plug-ins because the software is quick in regards to previews and image generation. Additionally, I find that *especially* on scanned photos (or otherwise poorly taken photos), these plug-ins can cover a multitude of sins.

Thanks for the interest.
