This is such a glorious positive picture. The birds coloring is in harmony with the background. The weather worn post allows a hint of man to be represented and it's facing to the right and, think singing. Of course it could have had a rough night drinking and this is a wake up yawn but I feel this bird is more into mating than to frivolity.

I really love the positioning of the bird as well as the attitude...so neat, simple and evident. And there a lovely colour contrast between the chest and the background, so nice...

I agree! Often we see just the top of the post and here Jaime has given us a great length of wood which makes the composition. Birders don't always think of such niceties where they just want to help document the birds!I really love the positioning of the bird as well as the attitude...so neat, simple and evident.
