Autumn colours is something Anne and I will miss, with our early departure to the south next week. The part of Ontario Canada where we live, provides some of the most spectacular countryside views all around us.

We did get a slight glimpse this year however. This past weekend we attended a family wedding about 2 hours north of us (in Wiarton on the Bruce Peninsula) - and the trees were already changing their colours there. They are always a few weeks ahead of our area. Felt nice driving through.

Thanks Robert for looking in and your comments.

I agree; autumn in Ontario is simply glorious. Lucky to have been around the area you mention.

Best.

Fahim,

This has a hard quality that works well for the subject. Is this a happenstance or part of an idea you'll use more of?

I am attracted to original renderings as they provide a signature for an artist. I'd love to know how you got there mentally and technically. Is it important to you or just what you happened on for this picture at this moment?

The last one is so pretty with the background all soft and immediately brings fall to mind.

as for the first one, it's so odd. I have an image of mine that although a different tree, is so similar to mine, it's eerie.. it feels like your memory is my memory of that day. Lovely!

Asher, I shall expound further. I knew I wanted this rendering to begin with. I like contrasts..the more the better. Hard! Contrast. My original exposure had correctly underexposed it.

Mentally, for this scene the pastel colors were a no go. Either saturate or underexpose. I chose under exposure to save on pp later on. Since I did not have graduated nd filters, the lower part of the frame had to have a gradient curve applied in CS.

Really it is difficult to describe, but very easy to do.

Remember what you said..' Back off ', with regards to processing.! Generally cannot. Others have also commented on the ' hardness ' of my image posts.

It comes naturally, the darkness that is. I might see the ' light ' someday. :)

Thanks.

Maggie, you are a generous soul. Please remain so forever :)

Thank you for giving me of your time. Now to search for some other memories!!

Kindest regards.

My family have dumped all their iPads and iPhones in my room..to update to iOS 7 for them. They have all gone to bed as I run from one to the other iDevice.

Best.
