One of the little perks of living in the country :~'))

See the bow saw to the left. Yep, it's in my living room now with the 1928 Ives Locy busily chugging it's set of brightly toxic lead containing painted freight cars. How did we ever survive our childhoods.

Chainsaw would have been overkill.

Enjoy the holiday everyone! These are great times for friends and families to get close. Whatever happens to our economy, I hope the holiday will give people a regeneration of hope and plans for a better future. I wish everyone and enjoyable season of holidays and togetherness.

The red paint will do little harm unless you lick or chew the paint. It's the flaking paint and dust in the air that's the issue. Imagine if you hadn't been so exposed to lead at all; no one else would get access to great LF lenses!

I had a friend from the USofA who always cut his own tree with a chain saw, and then removed the top 30 ft to use as the tree...

One year he left it a bit long and cut off the bottom in his hall way.

We have a 'pretend' tree whcih the girls will no doubt insist I bring down from the loft in due course.

Merry Christmas Jim and all

Mike
