Mockingbird

I liked the background of this and his pose with the eye detail. Taken handheld with 400 5.6 L.

Nicely posed, sharp, with a complementary background that I like. The breast area looks a bit overexposed, at least on my monitor.

Don, I did not see any hot area in LR but you probably have a better eye then me about bird exposure and I appreciate you pointing it out and commenting.
That is a nice shot of a Painted Bunting you have on your site and I need to get a shot of one of those. Male has some bling don't he :D
Toned down a tad and it is a little bit of a difference ;)

Thanks Don for having a look at that Painted Bunting. That was my one and only encounter so far with this species - I've wanted to get one for a number of years!

The second version seems a little more balanced to me. It's hard to be objective sometimes, because of differences in personal taste, monitor calibration, etc. In any case, a nice shot of a species that all in all doesn't get much respect!
