Hi Freddy,
I generally would want to frame a person as I would like to deliver the image. For landscapes and most artistic projects I like an extra margin so I can refine the crop. I want to be able to think about all the components and how they might be ranked. So it's unusual for me to want to crop my own pictures of people in the ruthless way I am proposing here.
Most everyone here knows that I think a lot about cropping of street scenes, landscape and the like. I don't remember when I wanted a hemi-corporectomy, in a portrait, LOL! That's exactly what I'd suggest here. The hands are such a major distraction and let-down compared to how well you have imaged the face.
I'd crop exactly below the waistcoat, (vest in the USA), button so as to release the full power of you perfectly worthy portrait. Then it does earn the title, "Mood and Drama"!
