A majestic scene just South of the Lorette Ponds on Highway 40 in Kananaskis Country, Alberta with Mount Lorette on the left.

Roy,

You have chosen a spectacular landscape with clear water that has overcome trees that once grew, now remain as skeletons, showing the plasticity of the lands to the water's will. All the way to the snow tipped mountain peaks and the edge to the skyline are well-rendered. It's very attractive. The presence of the large green mass of grass imposed on the picture from the right seems to try to declare that this is not a postcard shot.

To this end, I would wonder how the picture would seem to be if the interface between the mountain and the sky was not so sharp. I wouldn't have thought of this as a vertical shot, although this does work for me. I still feel I want to see more on the left, where the water might be coming from. From this one might imagine that the planet is still pristine!

Thanks for sharing!

Asher

Roy,

This is a very beautiful shot! The colors blend wonderfully, and the clouds add so much depth. The lines on the mountain at the far right are a perfect contrast to the dark side of the mountain on the middle. Though I really would like to be able to see the other side of the stream, perphaps, looking across it, rather than up it, but that's just me, probably. Very lovely shot.
