My baby niece...

I took my camera round to my brother's house the other day to pay a visit on they're newborn baby, Chloe. She's currently 11 wks old and so they wanted a couple of images of her, so I obliged. :)

I went for a hi-contrast look and that was achieved through the processing, it's been split-toned, also. They like the image, but haven't seen my processing of it, yet. :)

Paul,

Your picture of Chloe has a look from the past, but for sure it would be a blowup of a much larger picture, since they didn't go much for such tight shots, AFAIK. I like the look and expression. It's a timeless image that will be treasured.

At 11 weeks, babies still have the fine residual traces of the wrinkles of being squashed in the tight space capsule of the womb!

Thanks, Asher.

Its at this time when they're trying to focus and see around them, they become more appealing for me to photograph. Next up will be the crawling time, i'll try to have some fun then, in getting a picture, too. :)

Cheers.

I really like the toning that you have done for this picture.
Subtle yet a very powerful effect in that it "has a look from the past" as Asher has noted.
