My Cat in the Sink

Not the most original topic, I know, but I thought this image was striking. The way you can see a little bit of pink tongue in the mostly monchrome tones, the paw resting on the sink. I was happy with the natural light too. As always, interested to hear what you folks think.

Sydney,

So what does the cat do when the water really flows? does it still stick its tongue into the mouth of the faucet spout?

This is a great improvement on all the previous pictures you have taken of the cat in the sink. There seems to be a lot more intent and activity here.

I just let the water trickle and she drinks it. All 3 cats do. This one loves to lie in the sink and lick the faucet. Hint hint, I think she is saying. Glad you liked the picture. I also thought it was a big improvement. Can't wait to see where I am in 4 more months of this :)

Asher, this is another image taken tonight. I really love how her nose is just barely brushing the faucet. Is it in the same league as the first photo I posted here today?

Sydney,

Mine is only one opinion and I'm no king or artist maker, LOL! In the start off picture of the thread, your cat is organically connected to the water system! Here it may be close but there's no sex! If the faucet was a mouse, maybe, but sniffing steel is not anything I even comprehend, let alone get a buzz from.

Now if it was fascinated with it's tiny reflection in the faucet, thinking it was a mouse waiting to be eaten, then that would be a most interesting picture. Hmm, maybe your cat is just mesmerized by it's own tiny reflection and is in fact just narcissistic!

Asher - very interesting comments indeed. I really liked the play of the cold steel and kitty's fur almost touching. Knowing how much time that cat spends rubbing her nose on the faucet, it seemed a neat capture to get the moment right before.

And I liked this one a lot too, so maybe I am just oddly obsessed with kitty noses barely touching things. :) If I knew anything about PP I would blur out the background elements on this pic. It really is time for me to make good use of my book on Gimp and someday pony up for Photoshop.
