In Perspective, Fun: My Favorite Dress Shot Ever

More shots from this wedding to come ... I am still culling and sorting and taking them all in, but for now I wanted to share this one. I always struggle with the dress shot, and I'm so happy with how this one came out. It perfectly sums up the feel of the day.

Sydney for symmetry! Bravo for the clean setup and a delight to have the window light blasted to infinity! That adds drama. Dressing the bride is such an exciting event for the bride and more so for her mother and sisters! You have found your niche in making folk's memories magical. That's the job of the wedding photographer!

Very nice. Very nice.

I especially like that kind of hanger, since one can rotate the hook to be able to hang it on the window frame.

I think the bodice of the dress is too blown out.

Thanks for including the Exif metadata.

Best regards,

Doug

Hi Sydney,

I like this shot a lot. My question is whether you set up this shot or the bride (or her party members did)? Perhaps it was hanging somewhere in such a way as to give you the idea of this set-up? Let us know.
