Just for Fun No C&C will be given: My husband's family farm

I hope this is the right place to post these for some C&C. These were taken on my husband's family farm over Thanksgiving weekend.

Hi Sydney,

Good job! All these 3 pictures have value in a scrap book and document how things are at this time. It's nicer to have pictures which really share concepts in common. So the B&W picture of the old weather and time-worn wooden structure doesn't fit thematically with the other colored images. See if you can sort you images as to kind. Flat images, B&W, those with common feelings or ideas. This is no different than putting vegetables in one place and fruit in a bowl while the wine goes in your secret cupboard so it doesn't get drunk by the kids!

As Rachel has pointed out, this photograph is special among the 4 you have shared. It's been shot from a position to maximize the dimensionality of the different elements and builds a strikingly attractive picture of the field. Here the light was on your side. Just an idea, you might consider cropping away the top 1 cm or so to increase emphasis on the farmland where the gold is!

Asher, I understand completely what you are saying about displaying like images together. I'm so glad you liked the last one! It too was my favorite, and I took some risks with the post processing. I'm glad it mostly worked (although it appears I do need to lighten the image - it's dark on this laptop too). You could almost see the light shimmering when I processed it on my other computer, so I'll fix it. I'm so pleased you and Rachel enjoyed it.

Sydney,

You don't really need to open up the shadows more than a tad. Secrecy is not a bad idea. Just try the trim. Good job!

Asher, does this one work with the series (the hay bales)? or is there too much sky and not enough to ground the photo? I was totally blown away by the sky that day.
