but no less beautiful in conception and design..

I could spend days being mesmerised by the hydraulics, the camshafts, and the leverages.

Hi Fahim,
Lovely image, beautiful machine!
I'm with Paul...I need to know what it does!
I've spent an inordinate amount of time gazing at it's components.
I've pretty much figured out the mechanical motion, now I need to know what it accomplishes and how it derives it's power.
Steam driven? Are those brass relief valves in the upper RH and middle left of the image?

Paul, John...I am embarrased to say that I do not have a clue what this piece did. It was in the steam
section of the museum.

Thanks for looking.
