This old house line up along a very narrow cobblestone street bordered by two stories buildings. Around noon, the sunlight falls right across the middle of the street in the way of a strip of light that bounce off the street and creates nice saturation and detail.

Ruben, interesting observation - but how does this move us into the story? - what part does the light tell? and how?

Good questions Mark, however there was no story intended here, I just was captivated by the unusual lighting and the beauty of the colors and textures it created. Your questions are still valid, I cannot answer them right now but I'll surely think about it!

Ruben, I do like the colors in these images. A bit of an 's' curve would do wonders to these lovelies.

Best.

p.s Just what I would do. Others might not like the effect.

I like them as is, although I would prefer a tad more contrast as was suggested by the previous posters. Thanks for sharing. :)

Hi Ruben,

I like the colors and textures too. The first photo, with the fascinating wrought iron juxtaposed with an odd metal mesh, really caught my eye. My guess is that the mesh was added later to increase the level of security of the gate. Do you suppose the two could be combined along with some of the surrounding painted woodwork?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for stopping by, I'm glad you like these. I think it is a great idea to get closer shots of these surfaces, combining different textures... I would definitely try that.

Regards,

Ruben
