I have been returning to this gentleman and thought it would be grabbed by someone else for comment. Maybe the smaller version, to be clicked on, was just too small!

So I edited the post to get the fellow show up and he's magnificent! He has a weathered look and seems to have seen a lot of life. I wonder whether my hair could grow that long! Having the light on one side, like this fits with the picture and connects him to the open landscape. He looks like a genuine character. I wonder how you met him and what he does?

Personality!

I love this capture. The detail of his weathered face is wonderful. The only thing that would really enhance this would have been had his eyes been more visible to my taste.

Asher, Since you are always challenging us, how about a challenge to you to see if you could grow your hair out to look like this gentleman? (I am certain that your lovely wife would not be too approving)

What is it?

What is a "Navajo Indian Amitola". It's a fine photo, but I'm curious as to what this is. The man doesn't appear to be Navajo and although I speak some Navajo, I'm not familiar with the word "amitola".
