New Bluebirds in Morning Light

We have a new pair on other side of yard and I was able to get these with 400 5.6 in the morning . The last one the belly looks real white but it is not blown but I guess light was just on it like that way . The second one the light changed and they were done with cloudy white bal in raw.. I could dial it back but left it even though head is not as blue. Comments please.
Thanks
Don

Love the warm, morning light, which really adds to these images of an already beautiful bird.

The white breast feathers do appear blown, most noticeably in the 4th photo. I would guess that there might be some detail remaining in the original Raw file, which was lost in the post-processing phase.

Composition-wise, I prefer the 4th. Just seems nicely balanced to my eye.

Thanks for posting.

Beautiful shots Don! #1 and 2 seem to be a bit sharper, did you crop and zoom a bit on 3 and 4?
The colors are really something. Thanks for sharing.

I love them all Don!

This is a nice site for that little fellow. I'd like to see you get the tail too. I like the color best in #3 and the attitude in #2.

Keep at it!

Don ,I really appreciate your advice. Yea on the first I probably should leave more space on left since he is looking that way and on the second I now realize I was looking at post rather then the bird to compose !
On the 4th I learned in LR the default is +50 brightness +25 contrast. I was just using the other sliders to adjust for this image. Funny though LR usually shows just a spec of red to show blown and in this pic it did not :)
I think I can get it looking better now .
Best regards

Marshall , thanks for the kind words. Yes the birds are skittish so I had to crop on all . I cannot afford a 500 L yet :) I love the colors too and tried to capture them as real as possible.I did not have time to set up a tripod so I was pleased with them for being handheld .
Best regards

Asher always good to hear your comments and I appreciate you telling me ideas.
Yes ,color in number 2 was little more purple on head with light and I can make the white bal little cooler to make little more bluish but I kinda like the change . Do you think it is too purple ? It is the same setting as others so I guess light just changed.
It looks like she is having a new brood so maybe I can play more and catch that tail .
Best regards
Don
