Hi John,

At last clean non-cluttered dog pictures! This really ashows that the object of affection is the dog and it's wonderful. I really like the camera position. Good photography adapts the camera to the subject. Here we are close to the ground so the puppy is now important. I like that he has no collar on, even though we all know they normally wear them...or should. The first picture should be printed large. Is this yours or that of a happy client?

The puppy obviously is alert and looks at us with wonderful eyes. This is a hearthrob-hound. What breed is he?

Is that just one big box close on the left as there's little shadow?

Asher

Hi:

Thanks for you great comments. Cooper is ours and he is, far as we know a Basset hound mix 10 weeks old and spoiled rotten. Oh I used 2 soft boxes and a honey comb background light.

Love these..

These are some nice puppy shots. They can be very hard to do since they don't smile when you say cheese. He is a real cutie. They are nicely done.

The first one I like his expression but there is a bit of distraction by the pink/red from his private area for me. I'd PS the color down a bit to draw the eye back to his face. I love the third one, but the wrinkle in the background by the paw could be removed in PS. Minor nitpicks.

You nailed these shots. I hope he will be your favorite subject for many years. Too bad you can't capture the Bassett Howls on camera.
