I've been out of town until yesterday, and quickly looked at these then. Not having time to reply then, I left it for today. But for some reason, the images are not loading right now. I'll check again later.

I really like the second one of these, the shallow DOF works so well, could you tell us what camera/lens & aperture you used for these?

The owl looks fluffed up against the cold, where did you take them?

Canon 1D-Mk2 with a Canon 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 L IS lens. Shots were taken at Shannon Terrace in Fish Creek Park in Calgary, where I live.

These are beautiful owls. You are lucky to have these in your back yard....

The lighting in the 2nd image is nice and also my favourite....
