I was expecting to see a comely model. I thought to myself, is that going to turn out to be her stage name or is it the one she was given at birth?

I hadn't gotten the name connected with antelopes, LOL! But this is a beautiful surprise!

I don't realize the Aussies have them too!

Asher,
No antelopes in Oz.
This priceless creature was in deep dark Africky.

Well, the must be some in your zoos! Can't have a respectable zoo without them!

Do you have deer?

BTW, any marsupials or the Kangaroo and the like never made it across the water?

Big ears, 250 deg field of view with a nice overlap for stereo, wide nostrils, discrete stripes; all nicely packages to avoid being eaten. And we haven't even considered legs, tail, internal organs.
Efficient but only just so those a little higher in the food chain will not starve.
Obviously cute enough for a bit of protection by humans. Is 'cute' part of the evolutionary pathway?
If so, I'm dead in the water.

All the ferals I know shop at Coolalinga and drink at the Noonamah pub.

The key is always to have grasslands that support enough hiding places and food to have enough offspring to make up for those taken by predators. Amazing balance! Just a few extra hunters could mean no more Bambi!

No wolves and the bear has no berries!
