Oddities

Asher Kelman

Each day offers a lot of views, sometimes, sooner or later, there are oddities that emerge. Sometimes these can be funny, sometimes not.

Here are two:

This, Michael, I cannot explain and that's the great thing about it. A long term mystery!

This, however, speaks to me. Whenever I check the mail or go see what autumn leaves have serendipitously landed in my summery Southern California garden, I put on the dead bolt so as not to be locked out again and have to wait in the nearest restaurant, sipping wine until my wife returns to let me in.

I think the fellow went off with his mistress this time! :)

Asher,

the first one is about three meters away from a bicycle path in the field - this is already a mystery on its own. The angle of view permitted this picture.

The second picture shows a walled-off door (one of several) on an old building. The doors are no longer required, but still there.

Best regards,
Michael

Another recent one, almost failed to notice it - do you see what's wrong?

Best regards,
Michael

Frankly, Michael, I thought someone had some sick enteric instruction. I Thought this mean one couldn't use the toilet for emptying one's bowels or as they say in polite circles, a "Number 2". There seemed no other reason for having a sketch of a section of large intestine on the notice. but then I thought, it must be that someone added that.

On second thoughts this is a no-smoking sign upside down! The intestinal tract morphs into soft bellowing smoke.
