Old Montreal

Supposed to be full of life and vibrant.in summer maybe. I visited the port a few days ago and found some
interesting buildings ( Notre Dame, of course. ) but passed them by due to the cold. there were not many people around and the eateries seemed touristy and trying to make do in winter.

It was a bitterly cold and wind swept day and the few pics I made were of the ships in the frozen river.

Fahim,

How somber, massive and handsome! Horrible to have to work in that ice!

So does everyone just stop earning a living when it's frozen or is there something else to do beyond hockey, cinema and procreation?

Asher, what I noticed in Montreal was that a lot of activity took place in the ' underworld city ' during the day. People would surface, scurry along in the open and hurry back to the nearest entrance to the ' underground '. At least that's what I did, felt and believed I saw!

As for procreation..one has to go far east to find the masters of this art.

Regards.

In Fall

We visited Montreal in Fall - September - a few years ago and the Underground City was nearly empty with everyone out and about. The Old City was magnificent and full of life. We stayed at a hotel near the University and it was so full of activity.
