Blue Heron

Then some shots of a juvenile bald eagle that my wife spotted for me since I was driving.

I thought it was going away, then it turned and flew right by me.

I wonder why the blue heron gets its name as it’s not blue at this time!

I really liked the shot of the juvenile bald eagle, & yes, the heron looks more gray than blue.

I think, perhaps, the “blue” grey feathers get exposed on the wings in flight!
