"Chiva" is what the home made buses are called. They can be made from anything. This is from a Lada Niva. Four wheel drive needed in wet Chocó , Colombia.

So, Peter, the sides are welded plate steel and simply ground to have no sharp edges and painted blue!

Seats seem to be home made too!
