Gelatin Silver Print
Paper 20 x 16 inches; Image 17 7/8 x 13 5/8 inches

Dear Friends,

This sublime image incorporates everything about Sabine’s process. She possessed immense technical skill and patience, enormous drive and energy and empathy which allowed her to live one of the longest and most productive careers of any post War European photographers.

It was an honor to know and to collaborate with her. Her optimism was infectious.

Peace and love,

I have no commercial interest in these works, merely I wish to share the offerings of one of the finest curators of modern photography.
I admire his judgement and can vouch for his integrity. But beyond obtaining consent years ago to do this, I have no relationship to the gallery!

I like the way the model recapitulates the simple shape of the distant hills.

Note, however, how her spine is wonderfully detailed and that appears as the anchor or fulcrum of the work!

I am in awe!

I think that Fetterman’s choice is superb!
