When I sink into a photographic rut, as nowadays, I start pestering my family as it is their time to model
for me and also to experiment.

When I am given the boot, I photograph anything and everything..from various angles, different light
conditions, different fov. Sometimes I see the same things in a different way.

Here is something I see a hundred times every day, and just thought I would show you what I did
with it:

It is with reluctance that I run PS, but this time played around with some filters:

My wife thinks, I should jog about 5 km each day, rather than meander my way around the house bothering people! methinks, the lady is too severe!

I share the sentiments, especially re. the jogging part. I like the first version much better than the PS filtered version, FWIW.

PS: When you said "let's see what you have done...for the joy of it!", was that an invitation for the others to post similar pics as well?

Grabbing anything is a good start to creativity and I like your effort! Good wake up call!

You are correct about trying to put your fingerprints on your pictures. Usually, it's harder than just one filter. Here, I do like the effect! It's a start! Now, perhaps, mask this layer and bring back selected windows of the original.
