Posting challenges: when to vote?

Various threads have been asking for contributions, with the promise that there will be voting when there are enough contributions.

So... how long do we have to wait? Closing out one (with appropriate voting) and kicking off another would be a great way to breath new life into them.

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere else, but I haven't seen it, and it's been bugging me for a while.

Tim Armes is the moderator for the retouch challenges. He's already had voting for one.

We'd better do more! We are going to vote then keep it open and allow more contributions on certain challenges. A retouch challenge will be over when the subject has been fully explored.

However, submission challenges to a topic will be kept open longer. If we get enough new submissions, we may take use the previous top ranked images appearing once again for voting with the newly submitted images.
