Presentation

Greetings,

Today I was experimenting with different presentations and started to do some photoshop work.

It is amazing to see how the same picture can appear so much different when the matting changed.

I found this one pleasing, and I wonder how would one approach this with a print job? Can you print on matts and then cut it?

I agree Georg! Framing and matting makes a huge difference. I understand certain aspects of why this is so, such as "locking in" the viewer, but there's got to be more to it than that.

It doesn't even have to be very sophisticated. Even a simple border around the image has a positive effect. Sometimes I take the time to add a border and/or matt before posting an image, but mostly I don't as it's an extra step and I'm lazy :)

As for the printing on matts, I suppose if your printer can accept thick enough papaers it would be possible, but finding matt paper that can be printed on may not be so easy? I have no idea.
